T-Rex. Stegosaurus. Triceratops. Velociraptor. Brachiosaurus. Allosaurus. Spinosaurus. Dilophosaurus. Pterodactyl. Two debossed sides feature an ancient reptile's name, skull, and footprint. Two printed sides reveal an illustration and size. Two more sides show the time period and geographic area.
This 9 block set features 8 dinosaurs; plus a bonus reptile, the pterodactyl. The reptile drawings are friendly and colorful. The footprints? Fun to look at, fun to touch. The debossed skulls? Far from frightening, children find them particularly captivating. If you enjoy making footprints and skull prints in Play-Doh or modeling clay, these blocks are for you.
These blocks have a simple origin story -- with a surprising twist. In 1983, William Bultman felt shocked and dismayed when he learned no one in the USA seemed to be making wood blocks for children anymore. He began hand-manufacturing classic wood alphabet blocks in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He called his company "Uncle Goose". Today, Bultman's son Pete runs the company his father started.
